Mr. Mitchell's responsibilities include: - Responsible for contacting local officials in the six county region to determine programs that will require the development of proposals and applications of funding grants. Work to sell the advantages of utilizing K-IRPC’s services as a first choice of assistance.
- Serve as the liaison between the planning region and K-IRPC. Bring information, plans, and potential programs to the Executive Director for follow-up contacts back to the communities.
- Work to educate businesses, counties, towns, and foundations regarding the sources of funding; the eligibility requirements, and the availability of funds through attendance at commissioner, council, and town board meetings.
- Obtain grant writing and grant administration certification from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs
- Manage Arrowhead Country Public Transit System
